The porn link spammers that have been attacking Geeklog sites have been at it again and have worked around the previous hack that "fixed" the problem. Sigh. Some other stupid anonymous posts were being added to some articles. I figure these were used by the spammers to find sites that were vulnerable to adding anonymous links
So why are these idiots adding links to porn sites to blogs? The best I can figure is that some search engines such as Google rank web sites higher if there are more links to the site from other sites. So if the porn link spammer wants his porn site to come up higher in a search for "dead horse sex" then he just attempts to put them in as comments in blogs such as this. I remember when the Internet was such a nice place...
