I wrote an email to my U.S. Congressional Representative, Robert (Bud) Cramer, requesting that he support the "privatization" of Social Security as proposed by President Bush. I asked that he ignore the pressure of his Socialist Democrat buddies. When I sent the email I made two predictions.
The response would be a "canned" form letter.
His answer would be sufficiently wishy-washy that you couldn't say exactly what his position on the matter is.
I was correct on both accounts! If I were only that good in predicting the stock market... Read on for the original email I sent along with his response.

After almost of year of downtime, the Kittycam is back again!
I'm now down to three cats. They seem to like the cat beds I've provided for them. You will frequently see them in the two round beds and on the flat bed which are all in view of the camera. You may have to look closely to see the one in the back round bed.
Here is a recent photograph (sorry, the linked photo seems to be gone) of Fort Morgan located near Gulf Shores, AL, which was hit by now infamous hurricane Ivan. It might have been a tempting idea to ride out the hurricane in a structure that was built well before the Civil War. However, it seems to be holding flood waters like a swimming pool!
There is a picture of a stupid woman on Neal Boortz's website. She is pregnant and is worried what the impact of the sound of nearby jackhammers might have on her unborn child. I wonder why she's not concerned about the effect of that cigarette she's smoking? Think that will have a lesser effect on her larva?
I'd bet you money she votes for John Kerry if she votes at all.
According to the article Lucasfilm Defends DVD Changes, George Lucas has taken the opportunity to yet again change the Star Wars movies around. The article says, "he very strongly believes in an artist's right to have his work presented in the way he wants it presented." That may be true, however as the consumer, I have the right to not purchase a "tainted" version of the movie. I want the original. I want the same movies that blew me away when I was a kid. The special effects may be cheesy by today's standards, but I don't care.
Thankfully I bought the original version a few years ago on VHS before the "improved versions" hit the theaters. Oh, and I didn't buy the new version of ET where the agents' guns morphed into walkie-talkies either.
I, like everyone else, saw the coverage recently about former President Bill Clinton's heart problems and resulting surgery. While anyone who knows me will tell you I'm not a Bill Clinton fan, I certainly don't wish him ill health and hope he has a speedy recovery.
I saw his so-called wife, Hillary, talking to the press the other day about Bill's heart problem. She mentioned that he was receiving the best of health care, "as hopefully everyone in America will some day be able to receive." This is obviously a reference to her plan to nationalize the country's health care system which she and her socialist cronies have not given up on (and, in fact, are slowly having implementing anyway). Of course, if we had her style of health system today, poor ol' Bill wouldn't have had his "free" heart bypass yet. He would still be on a six month waiting list. Oh, wait, no he wouldn't. Since he's part of America's Royalty, he would probably be exempt from the same waiting period everyone else would be subject to. Can't have the future President's alleged husband dying while waiting on health care, can we?

This is another rant from my old web page that I've now converted over. This one is about people who insist on jogging in the street instead of on the sidewalk. I don't have the original date I wrote this, but it was sometime before July 2000. Click "Read More"....
I am slowly converting all my old blog entries on the old version of timt.net to the new Geeklog system. This is an update to an entry I made at some point in the past about a domain hosting service called Jumpline.com. I won't post the original posting as it's mostly no longer relevant. I will post the update however. Please click "read more".
