If you've come to this site because you got a spam message from someone at timt.net, I'm sorry. I'm as much a victim of this as you are. Some waste-of-flesh spammer is spoofing my domain. I get hundreds of bounce messages every day. I can only imagine how many messages are actually getting to people's inboxes without a bounce.
I've looked into using SPF, but have not figured out how to implement it with my current provider's set up. In any case, it would only help when the spammer sent a message to a mail server that checked the SPF record on the purported sending domain. I think the number of sites that check this are still few.
Perhaps some day we'll have a different email protocol that will fix this....

Saddam Hussein, the Butcher of Baghdad, is now DEAD. Good riddance. I had a personal beef with him. Hussein invaded Kuwait the same week I was attempting to purchase a house. Interest rates went through the roof as a result of the invasion. I spent several thousands of dollars in additional interest and points as a result. That may be small compared to the misery he caused to many in Iraq, and may even seem petty to mention, but that's my personal beef. Rest in pieces, you bastard.
You've been annoying lately posting comment spam links on my web site. It's annoyong, but I always delete your comments within a few hours of you posting them. So the search engines have a very small chance of finding the links and boosting your search position. So you're wasting your time and mine too. Yes, I know you're probably using a script and will never see this.
In an effort to make your vandalism even more pointless, I've now disabled links within comments, so even the small window where your comment exists won't allow the search engines to pick up your link.

It seems spammers are spoofing email addresses from my domain again. I've been getting all sorts of bounce messages and out-of-office replies. In the past this has died down pretty quick, but this time it seems to have been going on for about two weeks, so whoever is doing it is a persistent bastard.
I'm currently investigating adding an SPF entry to my DNS record. That should cut down on the spoofing to some degree. The lack of an SPF entry may be why the jerk picked my domain anyway. Stay tuned...

Second Lt. Ilario Pantano is the U.S. Marine who may be charged with murder for killing two "insurgents" in Iraq on April 15, 2004. For more details, go read Is the Marine Corps P.C.? by Mona Charen on townhall.com.
I find it completely disgusting that these charges are even being considered. Our men in uniform should be given the benefit of the doubt in these cases. To do otherwise will plant seeds of doubt in their minds as they perform their duties that their own life or freedom may be on the line later. That doubt could cause a momentary hesitation that could kill them.
Lt. Pantano's parents have set up a web site where people can donate money to help in his defense.
The porn link spammers that have been attacking Geeklog sites have been at it again and have worked around the previous hack that "fixed" the problem. Sigh. Some other stupid anonymous posts were being added to some articles. I figure these were used by the spammers to find sites that were vulnerable to adding anonymous links
